A common assumption is that we have to sleep train children or they'll "never learn to sleep," but that's not true! Here are reasons children wake up, and how to support them to learn to sleep well on their own when they're developmentally ready.
Important note: The AAP recommends infants share a parents' room "ideally for a year, but at least for six months" to reduce the risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).
